Are you a student searching for community service hours? Are you recently retired? Just looking to give back to the community? Well look no more! The Northeastern Association of the Blind at Albany is looking for people to give an hour or two of their time each week helping blind or visually impaired individuals. Helping others isn't just a way to feel good about yourself, but also makes a difference to those who need your help.
Volunteers are needed to assist others with:
- reading mail, books, and magazines
- tape recording information
- correspondence and record-keeping
- or being a friendly visitor
Opportunities to volunteer at NABA include:
- tape recording information for staff
- assisting at various special events
- providing artistic skills in the development and production of literature, photographs & displays
- assisting with administrative/clerical duties
- coordinating mailings
